Find airports by IATA or ICAO code, name, city, region, country or timezone, or filter them by size, elevation and runway length. Returns up to 10 airports by default, each with ICAO and IATA codes, name, city, region, country, latitude, longitude, elevation, timezone, size and type, scheduled service, runways and estimated annual passengers. Set at least one filter other than offset; name, city and region are Premium only. Use apininjas_search_airports for airports. Use apininjas_search_airlines for carriers.

Search cars

Find car models and their full specifications by make, model, generation, body, fuel, drivetrain, power or production year, or fetch known cars by id. Premium only: needs a paid API Ninjas plan. Returns up to 10 cars by default, each with an id, make, model, generation, chassis codes, production years, body and doors, trim, engine summary, power, displacement, cylinders, transmission, gears, drive, fuel and a full specs sheet. Set at least one filter, or id or ids. Use apininjas_search_cars for model specs. Use apininjas_decode_vin to identify one specific vehicle from its VIN.

Does the agent access API Ninjas as the user or through a shared API key?

As the user. Each user connects their own API Ninjas API key once, and Scalekit sends it with every call. Audit logs attribute every lookup to that user, not a shared service account.

Where is the API Ninjas API key stored?

In Scalekit's managed AES-256 token vault, namespaced per tenant. To rotate it, the user reconnects with a new API key. Revocation is a single dashboard action. Credentials never appear in prompts, logs, or LLM context.

Can I limit what the agent does in API Ninjas?

Yes. Filter by tool name in listScopedTools to expose only what you want, for example only the weather and timezone tools. Every tool looks up or scores data and none changes anything in the user's account. Scalekit also enforces scope checks before every API call.

What happens when a user revokes API Ninjas access?

The connection is invalidated on the next tool call. Subsequent requests for that user fail closed with a clear error. Other users in the tenant remain unaffected. The event is logged for audit.

Do some API Ninjas tools need a paid plan?

Some options do. The docs note that apininjas_get_weather by city name and apininjas_search_recipes by ingredients need a paid API Ninjas plan, so results depend on the plan attached to the user's API key.
