The better Pipedream alternative, built for agents. Priced per tool call, not per second of compute.

Pipedream Connect gives agents its workflow components: one MCP server per app, billed by compute time. Scalekit bills the tool call and scopes tools to each agent.

Per tool call, unlimited users
Per 30s of compute, $2/user past 100
Custom connectors, tool sets, triggers
Per-app tools; custom ones on top plan
35,000+ tools, every auth method
10,000+ tools, mostly OAuth and API keys
Cloud, EU, VPC or on-prem, your keys
US only; Pipedream holds the keys
Independent, built only for agents
Part of Workday; Workflows ends March 2027
Agents fan out. One task can mean dozens of tool calls, some of them long data pulls, for every user you onboard. Pipedream bills each call by compute time and adds $2 a month per user past 100. Scalekit bills the call: run time and user count don't change the price.
$99 a month for 100K tool calls, then $0.50 per 1,000. Unlimited users. See pricing

$150 a month for 10K credits, then $0.012 per credit. 100 users, then $2 each.

A catalog gets your agent started. What it does for your customers depends on what you can add on top, all on the $99 plan.
One endpoint per agent, with only the tools it needs from any app. Virtual MCP servers
Your internal service, a partner API or your own MCP server, added like a built-in connector. Create a connector
Agents start work the moment something changes in your customer's apps. How triggers work
Custom connectors, per-agent tool bundles and triggers, built in.

Tools come grouped one app at a time. Adding your own means writing Node.js code, on the Business plan.
600+ connectors and 35,000+ tools, ready to call. Enterprise systems don't all speak OAuth, so every auth method ships built in: key pairs, service accounts, admin-delegated access and machine-to-machine. Users connect on your brand, on your domain, and can link several accounts per app.
600+ connectors and 35,000+ tools, with every auth method built in. Full white-label on your own domain.

3,000+ APIs and 10,000+ tools, mostly OAuth and API keys. The connect screen is Pipedream-branded by default.

Where your agent runs, who can reach it and what it did decide enterprise deals. Scalekit answers all three.

Our cloud, our EU region, your VPC or on-prem. Self-hosted, the full platform runs in your Kubernetes cluster, with published requirements.

Each tool call is logged with the agent, user and tool behind it, and streams to Datadog, Splunk or CrowdStrike.

Self-hosting, BAA, IP allowlisting, your own keys, log streaming and the SLA are on Enterprise. Reports and policies in the Trust Center.

Your integration layer is a multi-year bet. Scalekit is independent, and agent auth and tool calling is the whole roadmap.
Pipedream joined Workday to connect Workday's own agents to enterprise apps. Its public changelog has had no entry since October 2025, and Workflows, its original product, shuts down in March 2027.
Independent. Roadmap set by teams shipping agents to their customers.

Part of Workday. Says Connect remains fully supported and actively developed.
It depends on your volume. At 100K tool calls and 500 users a month, about 20x at list prices. At a few thousand calls and under 100 users, the two cost about the same. Try your numbers in the calculator above.
Pipedream Connect bills compute time. One credit covers a call that runs under 30 seconds, so long data pulls use more than one, and every end user past 100 adds $2 a month. Agents make many calls per task for many users, so both meters climb together. Scalekit charges per tool call, whatever the run time, with unlimited users.
For agents, the tools inside each app and the auth methods matter more. Pipedream lists 3,000+ APIs with 10,000+ tools, mostly OAuth and API keys. Scalekit has 600+ connectors with 35,000+ tools and every auth method, including service accounts, key pairs and admin-delegated access. If an app you need is missing, add it as a custom connector on the $99 plan, or ask us to build it.

Yes. Many connectors come with Scalekit's OAuth credentials, and you can go live on them; your users then see Scalekit's name on the consent screen. Switch a connection to your own OAuth app when you want your brand on the consent screen and your own quota at the provider. Nothing changes in your code.
Yes. Triggers tell your agent when something changes in a user's connected app, such as a new Salesforce lead or a Slack message that mentions your app. Scalekit delivers each event to your endpoint as a signed request, from webhooks or polling. Triggers are in beta, so contact us to turn them on for your environment.
Once per app. Map your Pipedream external user IDs to Scalekit identifiers, swap your MCP URLs, and each user signs in again one time. After that, Scalekit stores and refreshes their tokens.

Switching? Map external user IDs to identifiers, swap your MCP URLs, and your users sign in again once.
