Aerchain simplifies enterprise and vendor auth with Scalekit

Before
  • Multiple in-house and third-party SSO integrations draining engineering time
  • Vendors lacked consumer-grade login options like Google or Microsoft
  • Limited documentation and support slowed onboarding
After
  • Unified enterprise SSO and vendor logins with minimal dev effort

Aerchain is a next-generation procurement platform powered by modular AI agents. It automates every phase of the procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and negotiation to vendor onboarding, compliance, and spend management.

Focused on building the most intuitive and intelligent procurement experience, Aerchain serves a global base of enterprises including AB InBev, WeWork, Reliance Jio, and Infosys.

The challenge

As a platform used by both enterprises and their vendors, Aerchain needed a secure and scalable authentication system that could accommodate two very different user groups. For enterprise users, they required robust SSO with a wide range of identity provider integrations and hands-on support. For vendors, they aimed to deliver a frictionless, consumer-grade login experience.

Aerchain had previously implemented 7 to 8 SSO connections using Descope, but struggled with limited documentation and basic support. Having built SSO in-house before, the team knew firsthand how resource intensive auth could get. They were clear they wanted to buy, not build such infrastructure.

  • Two distinct login experiences
  • Aerchain needed to support enterprise SSO and vendor-facing social login without duplicating effort. After building SSO in-house once, they knew the cost and complexity were not worth repeating.
  • Lack of support and documentation
  • With Descope, Aerchain’s developers had to self-manage integrations. The lack of guidance slowed progress and strained internal resources.
  • Consumer-grade expectations
  • Vendors expected simple login options like Google and Microsoft. Building these flows from scratch would delay shipping core features.

While the internal team had built foundational auth flows, they needed a solution that would reduce overhead and free engineering time to focus on core product development.

The solution with Scalekit

Scalekit helped Aerchain deliver seamless authentication for both enterprises and vendors, without disrupting their internal systems. The integration gave them a scalable foundation with modern UX, broad IdP support, and a strong developer experience.

1. SSO layered over existing systems

  • Scalekit integrated directly with Aerchain’s in-house stack with no disruption
  • Supported SAML and OIDC protocols across major identity providers like WSO2, Entra ID, OneLogin, and Ping Identity
  • Enabled SP-initiated and IdP-initiated flows, allowing enterprise teams to discover Aerchain inside their identity portals

2. Built-in support for IdPs

  • Supported edge-case configurations in older IdPs like WSO2, enabling fast onboarding for accounts like Reliance Jio
  • Out-of-the-box compatibility with mainstream providers allowed Aerchain to move quickly

3. Social login for vendors

  • Enabled Google and Microsoft login for vendor users without requiring additional engineering work
  • Delivered a polished, low-friction experience aligned with modern UX standards

4. Developer-first integration

  • Clean SDKs and straightforward documentation made integration fast and painless
  • Proactive support helped the team resolve edge cases and move to production quickly
“> “Scalekit has been one of the easiest auth platforms to integrate into our systems. Their SDKs are clean, their documentation is straightforward, and the support is great. Whether it was setting up social logins or navigating SSO challenges with a legacy WSO2 setup, the team has been incredibly hands-on.”

What changed for Aerchain

  • Faster launch cycles
  • Auth no longer blocked deployments or slowed down onboarding
  • Lower engineering burden
  • Offloaded the complexity of building and maintaining SSO and social login internally
  • Consistent user experience
  • Delivered polished, seamless authentication across both enterprise and vendor audiences
  • Stronger feedback loop
  • Scalekit responded quickly to Aerchain’s input and incorporated improvements into the product
"We didn’t want to build authentication in-house. Scalekit allowed us to implement production-ready flows with minimal dev effort. The impact has been faster deployments and a much better experience for our devs and users.”

The business impact

  • Enterprise-ready without the infrastructure overhead
SiftHub delivered SSO and SCIM to enterprise customers without having to build and maintain it internally
  • Faster sales motion
Security reviews and onboarding no longer stalled deals
  • Self-serve configuration for customers
The embedded admin portal reduced back-and-forth and gave IT teams full control
  • No disruption to product velocity
Engineers stayed focused on core features while Scalekit handled identity

Final thoughts

Even with a capable internal stack, Aerchain saw clear value in extending its authentication flows with Scalekit. The team gained robust SSO, frictionless social login, and legacy IdP support, all without sacrificing speed or control.

"Scalekit has been the most seamless auth solution we’ve used. The SDKs are intuitive, the docs are clear, and the support is top-tier. From social login to tricky SSO setups, their team didn’t just assist—they actively improved the platform based on our input. We launched robust auth flows with minimal engineering time, speeding up deployments and elevating the experience for both devs and end users.”

“think starting with auth is a good idea. If you’re still excited about the app after doing the auth you’ll know it’s an idea really worth pursuing.”
